Our Melaine sweater is knitted in a mix of multi-colored yarns, in beige and purple tones.
It is made from certified wool, alpaca wool and recycled nylon, in our certified partner workshop in China, with whom we have been working for 10 years. Together we pursue high ambitions for the eco-responsibility of our products.
Alpaca wool is a very high-end fiber. It is softer, warmer, more resistant and lighter than sheep's wool. It is recognized as one of the finest fibers and is appreciated for its resistant, insulating and hypoallergenic properties. It is one of the most eco-responsible wools because it consumes few resources and water and it does not require chemical treatment, which makes it a biodegradable material.
We use recycled nylon for its elasticity and strength. It is an ecological alternative to nylon: this fiber is 100% recycled and recyclable, made in particular from plastic waste collected in recycling centers and oceans.
The RWS® (Responsible Wool Standard), managed by the Textile Exchange organization, guarantees the proper treatment of wool but also animal welfare. It carries breeding, environmental and social requirements. The wool from these farms is identified and traceable and each site is certified.
Our model is 1m73 tall and wears a size S.
